Architect in Benissa, Costa Blanca
Benissa lies in the Marina Alta, between Moraira and Calp. It is a municipality of its own, with a historic centre inland and a strip of coast by the sea. Our office is in Jávea; we work in Jávea, Moraira and Benissa.

Benissa has its own town hall and its own planning scheme
The building permit is applied for at the town hall of Benissa, and what may be built on a plot — the floor area, the height, the distance to the boundary — follows from Benissa's own planning scheme. Moraira borders it, but belongs to Teulada: anyone who has built there has dealt with a different town hall and different rules.
We have been through that procedure in Benissa ourselves: which departments are involved and which documents they ask for. That does not make an application any faster, but it helps avoid having to supply documents halfway through.
A new-build house in Benissa
We are the architect of this new-build house in Benissa. The house is made up of a number of volumes that together form a whole. The site is gently uneven, and that has been used in the way the spaces of the house are experienced.
On both sides of the plot there are views of the sea, and the design is aligned with those sightlines. The living room and the main bedroom are oriented so that the sea is seen from within the room itself.
The upper floor runs in a curved line over the terrace and creates a covered outdoor space below. A natural stone chimney, with the fireplace facing the terrace, stands as a vertical element between the volumes. Large sliding glass doors open the living spaces to the terrace and the pool.
